After a three-year hiatus, The Future League returns to shape the future of the NRL.
Three years is a long time in rugby league. A lot has changed: the premiers; the state of origin champions; and the signing of the richest broadcast deal in the NRL’s history. However, one thing hasn’t changed – and that is the remaining need to introduce a conference system to the NRL.
The NRL’s recent consideration of a 10-team finals series concept is a sign the governing body is beginning to embrace innovative concepts, but rewarding mediocrity to counter ‘dead’ games at the back end of the season is not the answer.
A conference system is.
So it’s time to dust off the website and wade back into demonstrating the benefits of an NRL conference system in real time once more. We also aim to delve deeper into the rivalries of each conference and showcase how rich in history each conference is.
We look forward to you joining us as we continue to reimagine rugby league in 2019.
